We are excited to now offer you a range of new programs at 20 Chisholm St. You may know a friend or family member who could benefit from the following exercise choices! These are small, supervised group programs and the numbers are limited!

Pregnancy and New Mums…. BABY BODIES

A supervised group exercise program has been designed by physiotherapists to assist with the safe physical preparation for child-birth and aid the recovery phase after delivery. The program aims to provide the participant with education and guided exercise for the child-bearing year. The weekly evening program runs for a 6-week period.

Skiers and Boarders….GET STRONG TO SKI

Be ready for the upcoming season before the snow arrives! Snow sports require high level balance skills and specific muscle endurance to improve your style and prevent injury.

A circuit program has been designed by physiotherapists, using Clinical Pilates principles.  The program aims to improve your trunk core stability, balance skills, leg strength and flexibility, and upper limb endurance to give you the control and confidence to get off to a great ski season- downhill, cross-country and boarding. The 6-week program will be offered twice weekly (from the first week of May). An individual assessment with the physiotherapist is an essential pre-requisite for musculo-skeletal screening and specific training preparation.

Older person…. STRENGTH AND BALANCE

A circuit program has been designed by physiotherapists for the older person to help:

Our program aims to provide a safe and supported environment for progressive resistance strengthening, improved balance and functional control to give you the confidence to keep moving through life safely. An individual assessment with the physiotherapist is an essential pre-requisite for musculo-skeletal screening and specific training preparation. This weekly

day-time program runs for a 6 week period.

Getting women back into shape….MUMS ON THE MOVE

At North East Physiotherapy Services we understand the physical demands of motherhood and caring for your family. Using the specialized Clinical Pilates equipment we can offer you the unique opportunity to work towards:

·        Reducing spinal and pelvic pain

·        Improving postural awareness

·        Increasing trunk and core stability

·        A firmer, flatter stomach

Our Mums on the Move package requires a Clinical Pilates Pathway of Progression to ensure the program is specifically tailored to your individual needs. You may then progress to small supervised group settings with other “Mums” and ultimately to independent sessions.
