Introducing our Physiotherapists: 


Directors


 

Martin Hogan

Martin Hogan (Wangaratta) - has lived and worked as a Physiotherapist in North East Victoria for the last
20 years. In that time he has developed a keen interest in the management and prevention of musculoskeletal, spinal and sports injuries, as well as the management of vestibular, dizziness and balance disorders. He is the Physiotherapist for the Murray Bushrangers Under 18 TAC Cup side and chairman of the North East Regional Group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Martin is currently completing his Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through La Trobe University, Melbourne.


  

 

 


Tony Schneider Tony Schneider ( Benalla & Euroa)- joined North East Physiotherapy Services as a Director in 2004. Tony completed his undergraduate Physiotherapy training in 1982 and gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Manual Therapy in 1987. Tony has worked in the USA and has extensive experience managing elite athletes, having travelled with national sporting teams to Europe and the USA.
Tony has a special interest in Occupational Physiotherapy, having sat on the Transport Accident Commission Clinical Advisory Panel and the Victorian WorkCover Authority’s Physiotherapy Advisory Group. He is also a Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist.

 


 


Mandy Hogan Mandy Hogan (Studio 20 Clinical Pilates)- With over 20 years experience working both in Australia and overseas, Mandy has a clinical background in the areas of acute and rehabilitative care, home-based allied health, ante and post-natal exercise, aquatic physiotherapy, and community education. In addition Mandy provides a regional consultancy for Manual Handling Training across many aspects of healthcare, administration and industry.  For 10 years Mandy was responsible for managing and delivering physiotherapy services at the Wangaratta Private Hospital. Mandy is an Accredited Advanced Level Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist. As Manager of Clinical Pilates Studio 20, Mandy is developing and progressing evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation programs that keep people moving through life.





Brendan Liddell

Brendan Liddell (Yarrawonga) -graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2004, and commenced with North East Physiotherapy Services in 2005. He is currently undertaking a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University. Brendan works from the Wangaratta and Yarrawonga Clinics.

Since completing his degree, Brendan has become a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, and an Accredited Clinical Pilates Therapist. His particular interests include back and neck pain, sports injuries and post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Since 2005, Brendan has had a physiotherapy involvement with the Murray Bushrangers Football Club, as well as the Victorian Country U18 football side since 2006.

 




  Physiotherapists 


Alanna MacDonald Alanna MacDonald graduated from the Lincoln Institute in 1977 and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Having joined the North East Physiotherapy Services team at Benalla in 2004, Alanna's special interests are in spinal pathologies, upper and lower limb injuries and women's health, with particular reference to acute health management.

 

 

 

 


Claire Saunders

Claire Saunders joined North East Physiotherapy Services in May 2007 following her move to Australia from England in late 2006. Claire graduated in 2002 and worked for the next four years within the UK's National Health Service in south east England. This included almost two years in one of London's largest teaching hospitals where Claire continued, through quarterly rotations, work in different specialty areas.

Since arriving in Wangaratta Claire has moved into the specialist areas of Aquatic Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates, whilst continuing work at the Wangaratta Private Hospital. Her AUSTSWIM qualifications and experience in teaching and training swimmers is invaluable in stroke analysis and Claire is interested in identification of possible associated injuries in this field. Claire also continues to train and compete personally as a swimmer. 

 

 
 

Leanne Lefebvre

Leanne Lefebvre is a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist, with further qualifications in dry needling and Clinical Pilates. Leanne commenced with North East Physiotherapy Services in Benalla in September 2007 after working in Canada and various other countries.

Leanne has practised in different settings including hospitals, home care, private clinics and even a Royal Palace in Saudi Arabia.

 

 

  

 

Lindsey Tanner

Lindsey Tanner  -commenced with the Wangaratta Clinic in March 2008. Lindsey graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2006, and then commenced work as a rotational physiotherapist with the Albury Base Hospital.

Lindsey works diversely sharing her time between the Wangaratta Clinic, Aquatic Physiotherapy sessions, and Clinical Pilates.  She is currently developing specific exercise programs to improve strength and balance in the older population to prevent falls in the community. In her leisure time, Lindsey participates in local netball and tennis competitions.










Chanelle Fraser- began working with North East Physiotherapy in March 2009, following rotational physiotherapy work at North East Health Wangaratta. chanelle has a keen interest in muscul-skeletal physiotherapy, bakc and neck injuries and aquatic physiotherapy. She is also a very keen cyclist and netball and enjoys activities in the outdoors.

Amanda Baxter- is the newest member of the North East Physiotherapy team, having recently graduated from Charles Sturt University in Albury in 2009. She is undergoing further training to become a credentialed McKenzie therapist, and has further qualifications in Clinical Pilates. amanda has lived in the local area all her life and is interested in the health and well-being of rural Australians. In her spare time she enjoys keeping active by running, playing netball and boxing. She also entertains in a local band and enjoys supporting the local football.


Maria Simioni- has been working in the region for 24 years. she has been associated with North East Physiotherapy since 2000. She currently works at the Wangaratta Private Hospital, dealing with post surginca and medical inpatients. She has recently completed Level 1/2 in Clinical Pilates and is looking forward to getting involved into this area of exercise rehabilitation.
